The Furriends brand evolved from discussions between pet-loving colleagues at our sister company vet-n-pet DIRECT. What started out as just a couple of fun tees for vet-n-pet staff to wear to work, has morphed into a whole plethora of different designs over the past few years. Many of the vet-n-pet team reported that they were constantly being asked where they got their cool tees from when they were out and about shopping or grabbing fuel on their way home from work.
And so.... after many requests...
The Furriends brand and store was born!
We design, print and ship our garments from a small regional town called Beaudesert in the Scenic Rim of South East Queensland, Australia. We are family owned, 100% Australian staffed and very proud to bring jobs to a small local community.
In choosing our garments we wanted to be sure to steer clear of "fast-fashion" (ie cheap, thin tees that are almost see-through after the first wash!) and only use garments that would withstand the rigours of repeated wearing and washing.
We also wanted to be sure to minimise our impacts on people and planet and thus we only support garment manufacturers that have solid commitments in place to ensure safe, fair, legal and humane working conditions, as well as continuing to make demonstrable improvements in environmental impacts throughout their supply chain.
Lauren is our design curator, creator and marketing whiz. A master of her craft, Lauren's eye for detail is second to none and she can turn even a rough concept into something truly outstanding. She shares her life with her human family and rescue lapdog Benji. Can you see him in the photo? 😂
Belinda makes it all happen. She gets our beautiful designs from our minds to your hands. When something goes wrong on the website, please blame her 🤓 Belinda lives with a menagerie of animals, (including Stoick pictured), many of whom have provided inspiration for our designs.
Renee is our tshirt printing artist. She takes great pride in ensuring only top quality prints are allowed to leave our studio and oversees all aspects of production. Renee recently welcomed the delightfully wicked Roxie into her home... and her life has never been the same again! 😇
